Job Requirements:   Sounds True, a multimedia publisher offering transformational books, audio, music, and online courses to help you live a more genuine, loving, and meaningful life, seeks a highly motivated publicist with a record of delivering vibrant and creative publicity campaigns for books in the mind, body, and spirit category.

Responsibilities Include:

- Planning and execution of publicity campaigns for 12-15 books a year
- Scheduling interviews with print, online, and broadcast media
- Pitching and securing top national and local media, including print, television, online, and radio
- Writing press materials, pitch letters, and other promotional materials
- Researching and updating media contacts
- Coordinating author tours and speaking engagements
- Working closely with marketing, sales, and editorial to ensure marketing success
- Participation in sales meetings and providing feedback to all divisions

Requirements:

- Exceptional writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with social media marketing campaigns
- Attention to detail and ability to juggle a multitude of tasks
- Possess a deep knowledge of the digital media space
- At least 6 years prior work experience as a book publicist, preferably in the mind, body, spirit space
- Ability to think strategically and work independently
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize to meet goals and timelines
- Ability to quickly understand target audience
